Fear the Walking Dead: "Pilot" Review

Creating a spin-off of AMC’s sensational The Walking Dead is no small feat, and it requires a lot of ingredients to pull off. The cast of characters has to be equally complex and diverse as their TWD counterparts, the setting has to fresh and interesting, and narrative arcs have to be something viewers haven’t already seen in the spin-off’s predecessor. If “Pilot” was any indication, Fear the Walking Dead will cover all these bases.

Review: Lara Croft: Relic Run

Anyone who's played games such as Temple Run and Sonic Dash will be instantly familiar with the main gameplay conceit behind Lara Croft Relic Run - run and don't stop - but what this game does so well is that it takes the core gameplay mechanic behind so many other titles and, ehem, runs with it.

Lara Croft Relic Run isn't just a licensed property cash-grab. It is a fun, meaningful, free-to-play entry in the Tomb Raider franchise, which, frankly, is long overdue.

Marvel's Agent Carter: "Snafu" Review

That one was a doozy.

The penultimate episode of Agent Carter hit us with several big payoffs and saw a major character death.

Marvel's Agent Carter: "A Sin to Err" Review

It’s clear after this week’s episode that the momentum is building towards Leviathan’s endgame. "A Sin to Err" saw some pretty big developments for Peggy and the S.S.R. with some fun action scenes and entertaining twists.

I was really satisfied with one of the early scenes in this episode where Peggy tries to get information out of Dr. Ivechnko before being scolded by Chief Dooley. It stood to show that sexism isn’t just an undertone in this show – it’s a central theme. Peggy’s mistreatment in the workplace has been subtle enough that it hasn’t overshadowed the looming threat of Leviathan, but overt enough that, towards the end of the season, I think viewers can expect a huge payoff.
